i m leader pelosi's district rector in san francisco. i've been with the for about nine years, and we are excited to put on this forum today to help people learn how they can access credit and capital for their small business. click background on some of what was accomplished in the last congress when later closing was speaker of the house. she had had 16 tax cuts signed into law to help small businesses grow and thrive. as we know, during the last 15 years, small businesses account for about 2/3 of the job growth in our country, but when the bush recession hits in 2009, 2010, small businesses were hit particularly hard. small businesses are the center of her agenda. congress under her leadership gave 27 million small businesses tax cuts. two main pieces of legislation -- the small businesses jobs act in the information you have, will create a total of 500,000 jobs and create eight tax cuts. they are all described in the packet you have. also, unleashing up to $300 billion in credit for small businesses to access. there are another eight

francisco from san francisco's public schools. the superintendent of schools you're going to hear from in a minute, he was there, i know ter theresa sparks was there, i was so proud of san francisco in being there because the superintendent, he's, you can tell he's a teacher because he took control of that room. there was a thousand people in that room, he had them all raise their hands to quiet them down, it was beautiful. you could see the teacher in him. but i was so proud of being in san francisco because the kids -- kids are kids -- they were warned, you need to be respectful, you need to be respectful of the children that are being depicted in this film, please don't laugh at inappropriate moments, that kind of thing, and the kids were great. the kids were silent and crying when things were really tough and when things were going well for the kids depicted in the film they were cheering. it was a really, really wonderful moment. it was a wonderful way to start off this summit. i'm sure our superintendent will be talking abou

by the way the storm out west in california, there's some flight delays around san francisco if you plan on heading there or anyone leaving from there. right now low clouds around the metro area and most of maryland and virginia. a few breaks in the clouds here in the panhandle of west virginia and down in southern shenandoah valley. we have some rain now beginning to show up in southwestern virginia, kentucky, tennessee, the carolinas heading that way you'll drive into rain. it's all above freezing there. closer to us it's below freezing. all of these areas in the dark blue are in the 20s and that includes most of virginia, most of maryland except near the waters. reagan national is at 32. 20 degrees to upper teens in a few locations. roanoke getting rain and 42. this warmer air will begin to move in here by later today. as it does move in, these areas out of the mountains could get an inch of snow and maybe some freezing rain. western maryland and out into eastern west virginia. east of there we could get a little bit of a wet snow and perhaps a little bit of sleet around noontime earl
